Rated battlegrounds

A new raid is being introduced to The Nemeton schedule: battlegrounds. Rated battlegrounds coming up in Cataclysm offer a new way to experience the team aspect that you enjoy playing, giving another edge to your game. Many of us on a pvp server haven't had the opportunity to do pvp as part of team because guilds normally concentrate on pvp or pve. All the same, many of our raiders have expressed an interest in this aspect of the game, with the caveat that we treat this like any other raid and give it proper due.

Since battleground ratings will (at time of writing) will be affecting guild levels, this is an opportune time to start bringing pvp content into our schedule and learning to love the unexpected zing that combat against other players brings, especially when keeping battlefield goals in mind. It will help break up that long stretch while we wait for Cataclysm, and give you a zesty new focus. Empirepb will be leading the troops. As with your pve endeavours, expect him to require you to actually work on your pvp skills outside of weekly raids, gear up and gem appropriately. This experienced battle leader has taken on a large load - forming pvp neophytes into an effective battleground team.
